You have to start somewhere. There are very few events with the history and reputation of NXT Takeover. The series of shows has gone from little more than a glorified NXT pay per view to some of the most revered events that take place on the wrestling calendar. It is rare to see a bad match on one of the shows, let alone a bad show overall. Now we know where things are starting next time around.

Last week, NXT announced their next Takeover event with Takeover: In Your House taking place on June 7 from the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. The name is a tribute to the In Your House series with the idea being that the fans are going to be watching the show from their house, making the name appropriate. What also would be appropriate is adding some matches to the card, which is now taking place.

This week on NXT, Tommaso Ciampa challenged Karrion Kross to a match at Takeover: In Your House, with the match being made official later in the night. Kross debuted last month and attacked Ciampa, who had not been seen since. This will be Kross’ first ever Takeover match and one of this first matches ever in NXT, where he has only wrestled twice since making his debut.

This might not be the best idea. Check out Kross’ dominance and Ciampa’s challenge:

Opinion: One of the recurring motifs for NXT is that they are able to set up matches well in advance of officially announcing them for Takeover. That makes it a lot easier to set up a card in a short time, which is what they are doing here. Takeover: In Your House will likely have about five matches and one was officially announced this week. That’s a fast start, and hopefully the rest of the card will be just an interesting.

How do you see this match going? What else should be added to the card? Let us know in the comments below.
