They needed to do that. We are less than two weeks away from AEW Revolution and that is going to be a big night. AEW only runs four regular pay per view events in any given year so they have to make the most they can out of every show. The company knows how to stack their cards with a bunch of big matches and they moved closer to doing that this week, with more matches being added.

Two more matches were added to the Revolution card during this week’s edition of AEW Dynamite. First, Ricky Starks issued an open contract for a match at Revolution and talked Chris Jericho into facing him in a rematch. Jericho also agreed that the Jericho Appreciation Society will be banned from ringside. Second, AEW Women’s Champion Jamie Hayter agreed to defend her title in a three way match against Saraya and Ruby Soho, both of whom have wanted title shots. There is no word on how many more matches will be added to the six match card. Revolution takes place on March 5.

It was a busy night. Check out some of this week’s Dynamite:

Opinion: This is the kind of night that Revolution has been needed. While one of the matches on the show is going to be an hour long, they still need some other stuff to carry the show that much further. Hopefully AEW can make the rest of the show work, as there is one Dynamite left and the pay per view still needs some more work. What we got here helped, but there is more to do.
