That’s a big placement. It is almost hard to imagine that AEW only came into existence a little over a year and a half ago. The company has made some amazing strides in that time and has done some great things with the chances that they have had. They are still a very young company though and have some big things to accomplish. One such thing will be starting up next week.

If there is one area outside of the ring that suits professional wrestling to perfection, it is merchandising. With so many characters and so many ways to market those characters, any wrestling company should be able to find a way to merchandise itself to some great success. AEW is getting in on this area and they have managed a bit accomplishment for a company with so little experience.

AEW has announced that their first wave of action figures will be available at Walmart starting Monday August 3. The first wave includes the Young Bucks, Kenny Omega, Cody, Brandi Rhodes and Chris Jericho. The figures were created by Jazwares and were announced earlier this year. This is the first time that the figures have been announced as being available at Walmart.

They do look cool. Check out the ad for the figures:

Opinion: This is a pretty cool accomplishment for AEW as getting into Walmart is a big step in being available to the masses. How many fans who have never heard of AEW might check them out if they pick up one of the figures in Walmart? It’s a different level of exposure and that’s a great thing for the company. Not bad for a company that hasn’t even been around for two years yet.
