It’s nice that something good can come out of it. This week, WWE will be presenting its third event in Saudi Arabia. These shows have not gone over well with a lot of fans, as the nation does not have the strongest record on human rights. On the wrestling side, there are several wrestlers who are not allowed to perform on the show due to various issues. One wrestler who isn’t going is spending his time a little more constructively.

Sami Zayn has announced that he will be launching a new fundraising drive to help provide medical aide to poor and needy people in Syria, with the campaign launching at the same time (2pm EST) as Super ShowDown on Friday, June 7. Zayn is partnering with SAMS USA to help provide funding for a mobile medical clinic that can help Syrians in areas with no medical facilities available to them. Zayn is not allowed to work the Super ShowDown show due to his Syrian heritage and poor relations between Saudi Arabia and Syria.

Zayn has been busy leading up to the show. Check out his tag match from SmackDown Live:

Opinion: Good for him. At the end of the day, it’s not exactly fair that Zayn isn’t allowed to wrestle on the show but instead of taking the time off, he’s working to help some people who need the aide while also showing just how unfair a lot of this really is. That’s a cool thing that you don’t see too often and hopefully the campaign works out well for everyone involved.
