One of the matches on Night Two of WrestleMania 39 saw Edge facing Finn Balor in a Hell In A Cell match. Edge was introduced as “Brood Edge” referring to his time in the Brood stable. His former Brood teammate Gangrel had been rumored for an appearance on the show but did not appear. Opinion: This does make some sense and in a way I’m glad Gangrel did not appear. While Gangrel is someone who played a major role in the early days of Edge’s WWE career, it was so long ago that I really don’t need to see him at a major WWE event these days. There is a place for a Gangrel return in WWE, but it wasn’t at WrestleMania at the end of a nearly ten month long feud.
What did you think of the idea? How would Gangrel fit in today? Let us know in the comments below.
