He had a reason. There have been all kinds of wrestlers throughout WWE’s history but the company is rarely interested in bringing back someone after their in-ring career is over. It can be a special moment when someone shows up after not having been there for a good while and that was the case again this weekend with some major names. However, one of them was not there as planned and now we know why.

Over the weekend, WWE brought back Saturday Night’s Main Event after an eighteen year hiatus. The show was built around nostalgia and featured a variety of legends, including Tito Santana, Koko B. Ware, Greg Valentine and more. Ted DiBiase had been rumored for the show but did not appear. According to PWInsider.com, DiBiase was forced to pulled out of the event due to a health issue. There is a chance he could be used on another edition of the show in the future.

Opinion: The show was focused on legends and DiBiase would certainly qualify, but at the same time there is only so much that he can do if he is unable to make it to the show. The good thing is there were several other legends there and DiBiase can still appear in the future. For now though, the show worked out well and now we get to see what WWE has planned for it in the future.
