That’s how you get rid of someone. There are all kinds of ways to write a wrestler off television, some of which are more complicated than others. You can see someone leaving a promotion for a variety of reasons, which can lead to some unique ways to write them off. That is what we saw this week, with this version including implied murder in a Mafia style hit from a stable.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: On The List: Next WWE NXT Premium Live Event Set For September
This week’s edition of NXT saw the No Quarter Catch Crew, minus Damon Kemp, put someone in the truck of a car and saying that there is no room for mistakes on the team. Wren Sinclair appeared and said she didn’t see anything happen. While not confirmed, this would seemingly be Kemp’s write off from WWE, as he has announced that he is no longer under contract with WWE. According to Fightful Select, this was not a release but rather Kemp’s contract expiring and WWE did not choose to renew it. There is no word on where Kemp will wrestle next.
As of today I am no longer under contract with WWE. Forever grateful for the people I met and the experiences I’ve had. For business inquiries – damonkempmgmt@gmail.com

You might remember him. Check out what Kemp did in WWE:
Opinion: This is one of the things that I love to see in wrestling, as the promotion took a situation and turned it into a little something. Rather than just having Kemp disappear, the No Quarter Catch Crew gets credit for writing him off, making them look that much better. It would have been such a waste of a chance otherwise and I’m rather pleased that WWE did something with the chance.
