Going Their Way? Top Free Agent Reportedly In “Deep Discussions” With AEW, No Longer WWE-Bound

Not so fast? After years of WWE dominating the wrestling landscape, there is now another large scale wrestling promotion in the form of AEW. Now things have changed, with someone else around to go after some of the bigger free agents in the industry. That appears to be the case again, as a former champion who seemed ready to go to WWE has reportedly changed her mind.

According to PWIsider.com by way of WrestlePurists, former NWA World Champion Kamille is in “deep discussions” with AEW. This comes after a belief that she was heading to WWE, but now the talks between the two sides are believed to have fallen apart. There is no word on why WWE and Kamille stopped discussions, though Kamille is said to have a goal of acting and could further pursue that in AEW.

Former NWA Womens Champion, Kamille, at this time, is no longer expected to be WWE-bound.

While there had been interest and according to one WWE source in the past, had been offered an NXT deal, discussions are not moving forward.

Opinion: That is a bit of a surprise but AEW just picked up something special. Kamille is someone who stands out in a crowd and that is something you do not get to see very often. It would be nice to see her getting a chance on a bigger stage and if AEW is the bigger fit for her, that is where she should go. AEW can always go for someone as talented as Kamille and now they seem to be getting her.
