Go For The Gold: WWE Announces Four Upcoming Title Matches Over The Coming Weeks

That’s the point. WWE is quite a few things at once but at the end of the day, what matters most is the wrestling itself. The company builds up matches in a variety of ways but ultimately, everything comes down to what happens when the bell rings. That can make for a big deal and it matters a lot when WWE announces an important match. This time, they did four at once.

This week on Monday Night Raw, WWE announced four upcoming title matches. First up, there will be two title matches on the December 18 edition of Monday Night Raw. The show will feature the Judgment Day defending the Tag Team Titles against the Creed Brothers, as well as Kayden Carter and Katana Chance challenging Piper Niven and Chelsea Green for the Women’s Tag Team Titles.

Also during the show, Drew McIntyre was announced as the new #1 contender for Seth Rollins’ World Heavyweight Championship, with the title match taking place on January 1, 2024. Finally, Gunther has granted the Miz another shot at the Intercontinental Title, though no date was given for the match. Gunther previously retained the title over the Miz at Survivor Series.

Opinion: That is certainly a big night and hopefully the title matches wind up living up to the hype. It would make sense that almost one of the matches should result in a title change but you never know with WWE. The company has done a nice job in setting things up for the future and that is the first step in a rather long process, but at least they are doing well so far.
