That would have been different. Three years ago, the Coronavirus pandemic turned the world upside down and things have only recently returned to mostly normal. There were several changes made to almost everything around the world, including WWE. The company kept going during the pandemic, but it turns out that one show almost did not get to wrap up.

The 2020 Money In The Bank event featured a unique version of the show’s namesake match, with both the men and women fighting at the same time at WWE’s corporate headquarters. The match concluded with a ring on the room and the briefcases hanging above. During a recent live signing with East Coast Autograph Auctions, former WWE star Nia Jax revealed that the Governor of Connecticut almost shut the match down, with police coming to the building. Despite that, WWE was able to finish filming and shoot the match as planned.

Opinion: This is the kind of story that makes things all the more interesting as the match itself was already one of a kind. The pandemic era was one of the strangest in wrestling history but WWE still managed to make it work. While something like the match might not have been the best way to go, it was the kind of thing that could have gotten WWE in quite a bit of trouble if things had gone wrong.
