There is something to that. There are all kinds of ways to make money in wrestling, with one of the most successful often involving people promoting their own shows. That can lead to all kinds of growth and former wrestlers will often get in on this side of the business. Now another former WWE star is trying her hand in this area and you might be surprised by who it is.

Former WWE Superstar Ariane Andrew, known as Cameron during her time in WWE, was interviewed by Wrestlingnews.co where she spoke about opening her own promotion. The promotion, called Pound Town Wrestling, will present its first event in West Hollywood, California on October 12. There is no word on any matches or wrestlers set for the show, or how often the promotion will run.

You might remember her. Check out what Andrew did in WWE:

Opinion: This is a bit of a surprise as Andrew was not around the wrestling industry long and save for a few short term cameos, has not been around it much since leaving WWE. Maybe this is a better fit for her though, as she certainly has the charisma and some name value that could get her a long way in wrestling. It’s a risky move, but she has a few built in advantaged to give it a shot.

What do you think of the idea? How will the promotion do? Let us know in the comments below.
