Back soon? Injuries are one of the worst aspects of wrestling as you never know when someone is going to be out of action. It can take all kinds of momentum away from a story and change everything going on with a group of wrestlers. At the same time, there are injuries that are merely part of a storyline with a wrestler not being hurt at all. Thankfully, a recent injury is the latter.

Last week on SmackDown, Damage CTRL attacked Bianca Belair in a backstage segment. According to Fightful Select, Belair is not injured and the attack was designed to give her some planned time off. It is not clear how long Belair will be gone, but it is believed to be between one month and three months. Belair has received recent praise for her efforts outside the ring, including WWE media appearances.

Opinion: That is a good thing to hear as you never want to see someone injured. Belair has been on fire for a long time now and it makes sense that she has earned some time off. She was Women’s Champion for a year, so moving her off television for the time being is fine. Hopefully she comes back fresh and ready to go, as she has long since earned this kind of a break.
