It’s a different way to go. Wrestling is a lot of things, but you will often hear it described as an art form. That might not be the most accurate description for a lot of people, but there is certainly an artistic element to the sport. Sometimes this can be more obvious than others, but now we are going to be seeing the artistic side of the sport displayed in a very different way.
As announced in a press release, professional wrestling rock musical is scheduled to be released as a concert presentation in spring 2022, with hopes of a national tour in 2023. The musical, called The Last Match, is being produced by Tommy Fiero, owner if ISPW and Off-Broadway producer Jeremiah James. The play will tell the story of Ben Vengeance, the reigning World Champion, coming to the end of his career. Vengeance will be attempting to get the next generation ready, but something will cause problems. There is no word on any potential wrestlers being involved.

Opinion: This sounds pretty cool and the fact that there is someone associated with wrestling involved makes it a little better. It is the kind of thing that you do not get to hear about very often but it might be able to find some legs. If nothing else, it could be nice to see the industry getting a look outside of the ring, which you do not get to see often enough. That’s kind of a shame, so hopefully this manages to work.
