Could be worse. Injuries can be some of the worst things that take place in all of wrestling as you never know when you are going to see a wrestler put on the shelf for a long time. Sometimes a legitimate injury can be turned into an angle to further a feud between some people and that is what we are seeing again. It just might not be as bad as the original situation seemed.

Last month, Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan attacked Rhea Ripley at NXT, resulting in her suffering a fractured orbital bone. This was reportedly done to deal with a legitimate injury. However, according to PWInsider.com by way of Cagesideseats.com, Ripley’s injury is not as bad as it was originally suspected to be. It is still not clear when Ripley will be able to return to the ring, though WWE is believed to have a special plan for her at WrestleMania in April.

Opinion: I’d call that a positive outcome as you never want to see someone injured whatsoever. Ripley is already one of the biggest stars in WWE today and it is annoying to have her stuck on the sidelines at all, let alone for such a long time. This does seem to be more optimistic though, and it would be great to have Ripley back that much sooner as she is certainly missed.
