Come back soon. There are all kinds of people who come together to make a wrestling show work and several of them have nothing to do with the wrestling itself. This includes all kinds of production workers, but the broadcast team is incredibly important as well. They help guide the fans where the company wants them to go, but now one of the most famous voices in wrestling will be stepping away.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Remember Him? AEW Star Makes First Appearance In Nearly A Year On Collision Debut

AEW broadcaster Jim Ross has announced that he is taking time away from AEW to heal. Earlier in the day, Ross tweeted out a message that he had suffered a fall, revealing a black eye. Ross went on to commentate the main event of the debut edition of AEW Collision but did not speak for stretches during the match and apologized for his performance on Twitter. There is no word on when he will be returning to work.

Ross has had some better moments in AEW. Check out what he has done in the company:

Opinion: At the end of the day, Ross does not need to be at television if he is in that kind of condition. Having a fall like that and possibly being banged up as a result is not going to work and it is better if he takes time to heal. His health is what matters most and when he is on his game and healed up, he can still be valuable for AEW. I’m sure his job will be waiting for him when he gets back and his legacy is more than intact.

What do you think of Ross’ time in AEW? What is the best call of his career? Let us know in the comments below.
