It could be worse. Injuries can happen to any wrestler at any time and unfortunately they can cause quite the damage. You never know when someone is going to be put on the shelf, but the question becomes just how bad things will be. Occasionally things can be right in the middle and thankfully that seems to be the case again with one of the bigger stars in AEW.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Get Well Soon: AEW Star Reportedly Needs Back Surgery, Written Off Television
According to WrestlePurists and later Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, AEW World Champion Maxwell Jacob Friedman suffered a hip injury during his match against Jay White at Full Gear. Friedman reportedly had to have his hip popped back into place after the show. He is not expected to miss television time but is expected to be used in a non-wrestling role until World’s End on December 30. Friedman is also said to have banged up his shoulder though it is not clear how severe that injury may be.

Friedman is pretty good when he is healthy. Check out some of what he can do:
Opinion: That could be a lot worse and what matters the most is the injury does not seem to be overly severe. If Friedman can still show up on television, he can still do his talking and stay as big of a deal as he is. The World’s End match will likely be against Samoa Joe so if he can be healed up in about five weeks, we should be good to go for one of the biggest matches of the year.
What do you think of Friedman? How will he do against Samoa Joe? Let us know in the comments below.
