Blink and you’ll miss it. There is a lot of WWE content on any given week but some of them are even bigger than others. When the company has a major weekend event, things get even bigger than usual and it can be quite a bit of work. That can mean that they might need a bit of a breather, which was the case this weekend with the Royal Rumble. As a result, WWE kept things short after this week’s first TV show ended.
This week’s edition of Monday Night Raw ended with a showdown between Ronda Rousey and Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch. Once Rousey left, Lita appeared and challenged Lynch to a match at Elimination Chamber, which Lynch accepted to end the show. After the show went off the air, Bianca Belair came to the ring to face Lynch, who tried to run out on the match. Lita forced her back in though and Belair defeated Lynch with the KOD in 12 seconds in a non-title match. This was revenge for Belair after Lynch defeated her for the title in less than a minute at Summerslam 2021.
It was a fast one. Check out how things went after the show went off the air:
Opinion: This is the kind of fun way to send the fans home happy that you often see at the end of the night. The other good thing is that they got in and finished the match just after Monday Night Raw went off the air, as they probably wanted to get out as fast as possible after such a big weekend. Belair remains popular, and it would be nice to see her getting another chance in the title scene. Maybe this is a sign of things to come for her, though I’m not sure when that would be the case.
