It’s time to get ready. We are around six weeks away from Summerslam and that means we need to start setting up the card. While there is another pay per view before we get to Summerslam, WWE is going to have some things ready for the bigger show already. You can see some of the things that they are going to be doing from here, but now we know a few of the matches planned.

If you have been watching WWE over the last few months, you can probably guess some of what is coming at Summerslam. It is the kind of show that is going to be built up several months in advance, which can often make for some better matches. You know where things are going and with a proper build we might know where things early on. Hopefully the card works, and now we know how some of it will shake out.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, some of the matches likely for Summerslam are:

Intercontinental Title: AJ Styles(c) vs. Matt Riddle
Raw Tag Team Titles: Street Profits(c) vs. Angel Garza/Andrade
SmackDown Tag Team Titles: New Day(c) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura/Cesaro
Universal Title: Braun Strowman(c) vs. The Fiend

Styles vs. Riddle and New Day vs. Nakamura/Cesaro have already taken place, with Riddle defeating Styles in his debut match and New Day vs. Nakamura/Cesaro ending in a double disqualification. No matches have been announced as of yet, with the show taking place on August 23 from the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.

The matches are looking good. Check out how we got to some of them:

Opinion: Your tastes may vary on this batch of matches but right now, almost anything different would seem like an improvement. WWE has not been in the best place creatively over the last month and they need something different to pick up the pace a bit. Maybe Summerslam will do the trick, but I’d be much more worried about what will happen if it doesn’t.
