The mystery is solved. We are in the middle of one of the biggest weekends that WWE has to offer. There are few shows bigger on their schedule than Survivor Series and, as is customary, another show takes place over the same weekend. That would be NXT Takeover: WarGames, which features a rather big gimmick match. The WarGames matches feature teams, and one team was incomplete coming into the night. So who was the fourth man?

One of the biggest questions of this year’s Takeover was who would be the fourth member of Team Ciampa. We knew that captain Tommaso Ciampa already had Keith Lee and Dominick Dijakovic backing him up, but it was not clear who would complete the team. WWE COO Triple H had promised someone epic, but the question became could they live up to the hype.

At Takeover: WarGames, Kevin Owens was unveiled as the final member of the team. Owens did not come out with the remainder of the team, who stood in a cage while awaiting their entrance during the match. While not confirmed, there is a chance that Owens will be joining NXT again full time, as has been the case with names such as Finn Balor and Breezango. Team Ciampa went on to defeat the Undisputed Era to win the match.

It was a big deal. Check out Owens’ return plus some highlights:

Opinion: There were only a few options who could live up to the hype and Owens was one of them. That is where WWE shines above every other company: they can put so many top names out there for the perfect situation. Owens is a legend in NXT and since he isn’t doing anything on Monday Night Raw at the moment. Let him see what he can do down in NXT and maybe it can make him a big deal on the main roster again.

Did you like Owens as the pick? Who would you have had in the spot? Let us know in the comments below.
