It’s not for him? The rise of AEW has changed the way the wrestling world works. For the first time in over two decades, another promotion is getting national air time on a large television network. This is the kind of thing that can open up a lot more spots for several other wrestlers and a lot of them have already come to AEW. However, that does not seem likely for one of them.

Earlier this week, former WWE Universal Champion Adam Scherr (formerly known as Braun Strowman) replied to a fan tweeting that watching Monday Night Raw would be a punishment. Scherr said that “Dynamite would be far worse punishment”, suggesting that he will not be signing with AEW anytime soon. Scherr held discussions about coming in to AEW back in October 2021 but no deal was ever reached. He has since been appearing with Control Your Narrative.

Opinion: That seems to suggest that Scherr won’t be coming to AEW anytime soon and that might not be the worst thing. At the end of the day, AEW only has so many spots available and Scherr does not exactly seem to be the kind of star they usually bring in. There is a place for Scherr in the wrestling world, but I don’t think I can see it being in AEW, at least not at the moment.

What do you think of Scherr? Where would you like to see him next? Let us know in the comments below.
