Get ready for more of him. NXT is in a strange position as it has to do two things at once. In addition to being the WWE’s third brand, it is also the company’s official developmental program. As a result, NXT is designed to send stars up to the main roster, which has a hit or miss record. Now that there is a new boss in WWE, a former star from his time in NXT might be getting another big chance.
According to Fightful Select, WWE is working on plans to bring Kevin Owens back to television. Owens has not wrestled or appeared since Money In The Bank in July and is not injured. There has been fan speculation that he could get a stronger push now that Triple H is in charge of WWE Creative. Triple H was responsible for giving Owens his push in NXT, as well as being paired with him on television when Owens was Universal Champion.
Opinion: I would certainly hope that Owens would be given a better chance in WWE. Owens has been up and down lately to say the least, as he was doing very little, but then wound up headlining WrestleMania against Steve Austin. Since then, his main story has been dealing with Ezekiel and his family, so there is more than a bit of room for improvement.
What would you do with Owens? Will he be World Champion again in WWE? Let us know in the comments below.
