Former champions are always good. Ring of Honor hasn’t had the best time as of late as a lot of their talent has moved on to promotions like Evolve, Impact Wrestling and WWE among others. However, things have recently been on an uptick with names like Bully Ray and the Hardys appearing for the promotion. With today’s TV tapings, another pair of names can be added to the list.

According to WrestleZone.com, Kenny and Mikey of the Spirit Squad appeared at the taping to answer an open challenge from the Young Bucks for the Ring of Honor World Tag Team Titles. The Young Bucks retained the titles and it’s not clear if Kenny and Mikey will be sticking around. They most recently appeared in WWE in the summer of 2016 as part of the Dolph Ziggler vs. Miz feud.

Opinion: Yeah this comes off more like a joke than anything else and there’s nothing wrong with that. I don’t think there’s anything to them coming in and I can’t imagine they’re all that important to the company going forward. They’re a goofy team from a bygone era and there’s nothing wrong with bringing them in for something like this.

The Spirit Squad joins "Miz TV" in possibly Ziggler's final appearance: SmackDown LIVE, Oct. 4, 2016
