That’s a long time away. There have been a lot of wrestlers to come through the WWE’s doors over the years and a lot of them have left without making much of an impact. That does not mean they aren’t talented or that they wouldn’t be remembered if they came back, which can leave the door open for a return. One former WWE star is hoping for just that as he has an idea.

During a recent appearance on the Cheap Heat Productions Podcast, former WWE star Rory McCallister said that he would love to come back to the company to face the Viking Raiders. McCallister praised Ivar and said that he felt the match could work as a “handing of the fur” as both teams wore fur to the ring. Along with his partner Robbie McCallister, Rory was part of the highlanders in WWE from 2006-2008. Robbie is still active while Rory has not wrestled since 2019.

Opinion: While I don’t think I can imagine the Highlanders popping up for the first time in fourteen years, there is something nice about seeing one of them say something like this. It’s nice to hear from a name that hasn’t been around in a good while and might get some nostalgia feelings going. The Highlanders were a fun team while they lasted and do have similarities to the Raiders, even if they might not have reached the same level of success.
