Welcome! There have been all kinds of names let go from WWE over the last year and a half and that has changed all kinds of things about the wrestling landscape. Suddenly there are all kinds of new wrestlers out there on the market and some of them are going to get signed to major promotions. That might be the case in the future for two people, as they at least made an appearance this week.
This week’s AEW Dark saw the debut of two former WWE stars, as both Santana Garrett and Adrian Jaoude made appearances. Jaoude is better known as Arturo Ruas in NXT while Garrett wrestled under the same name. Both were released from WWE earlier this year, though there is no word on either of them being signed to contracts with AEW. Garrett appeared in a backstage segment while Jaoude teamed with Cezar Bononi to win a tag match.
They could be worth a look. Check out the show, plus both of them in action elsewhere:
Opinion: I’m not sure if either of these two will be sticking around, though Garrett would certainly be worth considering. This is one of the most exciting parts of watching wrestling: seeing where talented people might wind up. Even if these are just one off appearances, it gives you the chance to see something interesting happen. AEW has changed the game in this regard and that is a great thing.
What did you think of the matches? Will either/both of them sign with AEW? Let us know in the comments below.
