That’s a big one. There are all kinds of things that go into making a wrestler a star and that is just n the professional side. In addition to all of that though, there is always the chance of something going on outside of the ring that makes it even more complicated. According to the Easy Bay Times, former WWE wrestler and UFC Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez has issued a no contest plea to attempted murder and gun charges stemming from an incident in March 2022. Velasquez was charged after shooting at a man accused of molesting Velasquez’s son but hitting the accused’ stepfather by mistake. The plea will help Velasquez avoid a mandatory life sentence as there is no premeditation included in the charges. A sentencing is expected by the end of the year.
That’s some serious stuff. Check out some less than serious moments in WWE:
Opinion: I’m not sure what else there is to say here. While it is easy to see why Velasquez did what he did, you can’t shoot at innocent people, even if you believe someone did something horrible. Velasquez is likely going to be in jail for a very long time and there isn’t much of a way around it. This could have been a lot worse had someone completely unrelated to the situation been killed and there is not much else that could wind up happening.
