There’s your new name. AEW has come a long way in just over three years of existence and a lot of its success comes from its roster. The company has more stars than it knows what to do with from around the world. As a result, the company is able to present a variety of matches with different kinds of stars and now they have a new international star to add to the list.

AEW’s Forbidden Door pay per view includes a match between Zack Sabre Jr. and a mystery opponent. Sabre Jr.’s original opponent was scheduled to be Bryan Danielson, but an injury forced him from the match. Danielson hand picked an opponent in Claudio Castagnoli, better known as Cesaro, who defeated Sabre Jr. in the match. Castagnoli has since been announced as an official part of the AEW roster.

Opinion: This was the expected name in the match and that’s not a bad thing. Castagnoli was one of the top unsigned names in the wrestling world and it makes sense for AEW to bring him in. I could go for more of him around and it seems that he is in for a pretty strong push going forward. Now just let AEW remember that he is there and they should be in for a good showing.

What do you think of the debut? How will Castagnoli do in AEW? Let us know in the comments below.
