Everyone needs something to do. Wrestling is one of the truly international sports as you can find professional wrestling just about anywhere in the world. That can make for some amazing moments where you do not even need to know how to speak the same language to get the idea. That language is still going to be a part of the show though and now a famous voice can be heard elsewhere.

Rutube, by way of 411mania.com, has announced that former WWE Tag Team Champion Oleg Prudius, better known as Vladimir Kozlov, will be debuting as the new Russian broadcaster for Impact Wrestling. There is no word on when Prudius will debut for the company. Prudius made his WWE debut in 2008 and stayed with the company until 2011 before retiring in 2012. Since then, Prudius has worked as an actor and stuntman.

Opinion: This is one of those things where you probably did not see it coming but then realize that it fits almost perfectly. Prudius is someone who is memorable and familiar enough to a lot of fans that he could leave a nice impression. If nothing else, it is great to see Impact getting a bigger international platform, as there is nothing wrong with showing your product to a different audience.

What did you think of Prudius’ career? Who is your favorite wrestler turned commentator? Let us know in the comments below.
