Maybe that’s what he needs. There are all kinds of wrestlers in the world today and some of them are more well known than others. Some of them are talented and lucky enough to get a chance to showcase themselves for one of the biggest wrestling promotions in the world, but that does not mean everything is going to go well. At some point they are going to leave that promotion and it can shake things up. That seems to be the case again.

Former WWE star Jake Atlas has announced that he will be completely stepping away from wrestling for the time being. Atlas said that he is not banged up or suffering from a concussion and spoke about his mental health. He also said that he wrestled for five years and learned to hide his issues during his career. Atlas said that he had fun in wrestling and thanked fans for their support over the years. Atlas was released from his WWE contract on August 6 and made his Ring of Honor debut on Sunday at Death Before Dishonor.

Atlas is a rather talented star. Check out some of his time in the ring:

Jake Atlas vs. Ari Sterling: WWE 205 Live, July 23, 2021

Jake Atlas vs. LA Knight w/Ted DiBiase: WWE NXT, June 1, 2021

Jake Atlas vs. Tony Nese: WWE 205 Live, March 19, 2021

Opinion: I’m not sure what is going on with Atlas and I’m not going to begin to speculate. If this is what he needs to do to be happy and healthy then that is the right move, as that is not the kind of thing you should be messing around with at all. Hopefully he finds happiness in whatever he does and if he wants to come back to wrestling at some point, I’m sure there will be a place for him.
