Welcome to the team. There have been so many changes to so many wrestling rosters that it can be difficult to keep track of where everyone is going. That is not a bad thing as it leads to some surprising moments and highly promoted debuts. Sometimes you see someone other than a wrestler making their debut though and that was the case this weekend.
Sunday night’s AEW Revolution pay per view featured the debut of William Regal. Following Jon Moxley’s victory over Bryan Danielson, the two began to fight again. Regal came to the ring and ordered the two men to shake hands, which they eventually did. Later in the night, AEW President Tony Khan tweeted that Regal had officially signed with the company. Regal worked for WWE for over twenty years before being released in January.

Opinion: This is one of the signings that I was waiting for as Regal was always an odd choice for a release. He has been a broadcaster, an on-air performer, a trainer, a talent scout and more. How in the world could WWE not have something that he could do for the company? AEW certainly thinks he has some value though and that is a nice thing to see, for Regal, AEW and the fans.
What do you think of Regal’s signing? How can he be used in AEW? Let us know in the comments below.
