He’ll have to pass. We are less than two days away from AEW All In, which will be the biggest event in the company’s history. That is the kind of show that the company is going to want to build up with as many top stars as they can. This can include stars from previous eras, but now one star rumored for a possible appearance at the show will not be appearing.

All In will be held in London, England at Wembley Stadium. Earlier this year, Ring Of Honor broadcaster Nigel McGuinness had suggested that he would come out of retirement should the show sell out. In an interview with WrestleTalk, McGuinness clarified that he will not be wrestling on the show. McGuinness blamed the decision on Bryan Danielson being injured, saying it meant he had no match on the card. He also said that he was better off as a commentator instead. There is no word on if McGuinness, who has been retired since December 2011, may return to the ring at another show.

There is a good bit here. Check out McGuinness’ interview plus his time in the ring:

Opinion: That part about Danielson certainly seems like it might be leading to something, but given their history together, it is also the kind of thing that he might say just for old times’ sake. McGuinness has been out of the ring for almost twelve years now and having him come back for one more match would be nice to see, though it’s also not something that he needs to do. Either way, it was fun to imagine him being back in the ring in Wembley, but that seems to be all we’re getting for now.
