Welcome back! There are a lot of wrestlers in the world today and it can be interesting to see what happens to them when they leave the big time. Every now and then you see someone who takes time off from wrestling or occasionally just go away permanently. Sometimes those people come back later on though, and that is what we are seeing again with a famous name.

It was announced during this week’s Major League Wrestling Open Draft that former Ring Of Honor World Champion Davey Richards was signing with the promotion. According to 411mania.com, Richards will be returning to the ring for Global Syndicate Wrestling this coming weekend before debuting with Major League Wrestling in their season premiere on July 10.

Richards, 38 years old has not wrestled since July 2017 when he lost the Combat Zone Wrestling World Title. He has wrestled all over the world, including time in Ring of Honor, Combat Zone Wrestling, New Japan Pro Wrestling and Impact Wrestling, where he was a five time Tag Team Champion with Eddie Edwards as part of the Wolves. There is no word on where else he will be wrestling other than Major League Wrestling.

Richards has wrestled everywhere. Check out where he has been in the past and the Major League Wrestling announcement:

2021 Open Draft | Round 1

Opinion: This is one of those names which is going to get some attention, which is what Major League Wrestling can use. He is certainly someone who has been around the world and that is the kind of credibility the promotion does not have in a lot of places. I’m not sure how long Richards is going to be around, but able all else, it is a nice announcement to kick off the start of the new season and that could work out well.

What do you expect from Richards? How will he do in Major League Wrestling? Let us know in the comments below.
