I guess he wasn’t so tough after all. “Tough Enough” contestants have had a very hit and miss record in WWE with some names going on to big careers at the top of the card and others never making an appearance on WWE TV. The latest “Tough Enough” name to leave the company is closer to the latter thant he former.

According to Prowrestlingsheet.com, Mada, who appeared on the 2015 season of “Tough Enough”, has requested and been granted his release from the company. Mada only appeared in two matches on NXT house shows, both in the fall of 2016. Here is Mada’s statement on his release:

“I have recently made a tough decision and I have asked for my release from WWE.
It’s been one hell of a journey since I started on Tough Enough … but I had to make a decision to do what’s best for my family, and for myself.”

This isn’t exactly a big loss but it’s more proof that WWE isn’t exactly for everyone. Mada is hardly a big name and was really just in NXT off the strength of his appearances on “Tough Enough”. As usual, the show isn’t exactly a great indicator of someone’s potential success in WWE as it’s such a different world from what the contestants will have to do in WWE. At least Mada tried though and that’s all you can ask of him.
