Welcome back. The wrestling world has seen a huge change of pace in recent years as women’s wrestling has gone from little more than a sideshow attraction to one of the biggest parts of some important shows. This included the main event of WrestleMania, which was a milestone that was practically impossible to fathom. That is the case in WWE at least, but women’s wrestling has been treated seriously for years elsewhere, and now it is getting a blast from the past.

While the WWE Women’s Revolution took place in 2015, Impact Wrestling has been treating women’s wrestling as a very serious and important part of their show. The company’s Knockouts Division has been going for over fifteen years now and some of the best women’s moments over that time taken place in that promotion. Now one of their previous stars is coming back.

According to Fightful Select, former Knockouts Champion Taylor Wilde is set to make her return to Impact Wrestling. This has been scheduled for several months now but was postponed due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Wilde was present at the latest television tapings but it is not clear when she will appear. Wilde has not wrestled since 2011 or for Impact Wrestling since 2010.

Wilde was a star for the company. Check out some of her moments in Impact Wrestling:

Opinion: There is nothing wrong with bringing back a star but I’m not sure how much of an impact Wilde is going to be able to have after a ten plus year absence. Hopefully it works out though, even if this is going to be a short term run. Wilde was indeed a big star when she was around Impact Wrestling in the first place so maybe she can do it again, even if it is a bit of a long shot.
