Welcome back to SmackDown. This has been an absolutely insane year for wrestling as well as everything else, with the Coronavirus changing the way the world works. WWE has been no exception as several of its wrestlers have not been too keen on sticking around the company while the virus looms as a threat. Some have even stayed at home, but one pretty big name just came back.

On Sunday at Summerslam, Roman Reigns made a surprise return to WWE television when he attacked both the Fiend and Braun Strowman. It was a big moment as Reigns had not been seen for about five months due to health concerns over the Coronavirus. That is perfectly understandable but maybe the move to the Amway Center changed things up. It might be the case for someone else as well.

Sami Zayn made his long awaited return to WWE television this week on SmackDown. Zayn came to the stage to confront Jeff Hardy after his successful Intercontinental Title defense against Shinsuke Nakamura and then kicked Hardy in the face. Zayn was also carrying the Intercontinental Title, which he was stripped of in May. He has not appeared since WrestleMania 36, when he successfully defended the title against Daniel Bryan.

Zayn is a big deal. Check out what he can do:

Opinion: Works for me. One of the biggest issues that WWE has had over the last few months is the lack of stars and having Zayn back can help some things out. Even if it means just adding in a fresh name to face some other names, they should be fine. It’s a good addition to have and throwing him right back into the Intercontinental Title picture makes a lot of sense.

What do you think of Zayn? What is next for him? Let us know in the comments below.
