The card is starting. Last weekend, WWE presented one of its biggest shows of the year with Clash At The Castle in front of 60,000 fans in Cardiff, Wales. The show went pretty well, but as is usual in WWE, things have to keep going rather quickly. The next pay per view is in less than a month and WWE has started to set up the card, with the first title match already being announced.
This week on SmackDown, Ronda Rousey won a fatal five way elimination match to earn a shot at Liv Morgan and the SmackDown Women’s Title at Extreme Rules. Rousey defeated Natalya, Sonya Deville, Lacey Evans and Xia Li to earn the shot at Morgan, who took the title from her at Money In The Bank and then retained in a rematch at Summerslam. Extreme Rules takes place on October 8.
Opinion: That’s one way to go, but Morgan’s title reign continues to be a confusing one. I don’t think I can imagine her leaving the match with the title without a lot of shenanigans to beat Rousey, and that isn’t going to help Morgan’s status. At the same time, I can’t picture Rousey losing to Morgan again, so there is a very good chance that this is it for Morgan’s time with the title.
