That’s the big one. Titles are often the most important part of any wrestling promotion as they tell fans who they need to focus on at any given time. As a result, having a title match on a show makes the show feel more important, and occasionally it is for an inaugural championship. That is going to be the case later this month and now we know who is going to be involved.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Not Him? WWE Fans Sound Off About 37 Year Old Superstar’s Return

On the Monday Night Raw after WrestleMania, Triple H unveiled the new World Heavyweight Championship, with the inaugural champion being crowned on May 27 at Night Of Champions. A tournament began earlier this week, and after this week’s SmackDown, the finals are set between Seth Rollins and AJ Styles. The two have met several times over the years, most recently on the June 13, 2022 Monday Night Raw, where Rollins defeated Styles.

It’s going to be big. Check out how the title match was set up and the two facing off before:

Opinion: This will be a heck of a match and what matters is the fact that either of them will be a worthy champion. That is the point in having such a stacked tournament field and it worked out well here. Styles vs. Rollins is the kind of match that should work out very well for everyone involved and I could see it going either way. Now just build it up on the way to Night Of Champions and everything will work out.
