Yeah that works. Wrestling is in a bit of a renaissance period as we are seeing all kinds of documentaries, films and series about the sport. This has caused wrestling to grow to a bit of a mainstream level it has not seen in the last few years, which is always a great thing to see. There is a lot more room for growth though, and now we might be seeing another show move in that direction.
Despite being one of the most interesting forms of entertainment in the world, it is rare to see a well put together television series about the world of wrestling. While some wrestling related series do exist, the sport is often treated as a joke or comedy of some sort. That is quite the shame given the potential that is out there, but a new series is heading in a different direction.
Starz has released the first look at its upcoming Heels television series, which will focus on the world of professional wrestling. The series will star Stephen Amell, who has wrestled in both WWE and at All In, with Cody Rhodes and CM Punk appearing later in the season. Amell will play a wrestler named Jack Spade who feuds with his brother over the control of their late father’s wrestling promotion. There is no word on when the series will premiere.

Amell has been in the ring before. Check out what he has done in wrestling:
Opinion: This is something that has a lot of potential and I’m curious to see how well it is presented. Seeing a story about the behind the scenes drama in wrestling could be fascinating and I could certainly go with seeing how well it is set up. Amell is certainly a big wrestling fan and seeing wrestlers in a series like this is always fun. It could go badly of course, but it’s great to see something like this being given a chance.
