It’s set. There are all kinds of WWE events throughout the year with some of them taking place in some of the biggest stadiums in the United States. WWE often holds their most important events of the year in those venues and as a result, they need the strongest card imaginable. That will be the situation next month with Summerslam and now we have one of the most important matches set.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Double Down: WWE Announces To Superstars Are Injured, Missing Time From The Ring

This week on Monday Night Raw, it was confirmed that Gunther will challenge Damian Priest for the World Heavyweight Championship at Summerslam. This comes after Gunther was already guaranteed the title shot due to winning the King Of The Ring tournament, though Priest will not have another title defense before the show. Summerslam is set for August 3 at Cleveland Browns Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio.

Opinion: This isn’t the biggest surprise but it nice to see the match officially set after being all but guaranteed for weeks. We should be in for a major showdown when these two finally go at it as they have the potential to put on one heck of a power match. I could go for seeing the match go either way, but there is a good chance that this is the official coronation of Gunther.

What do you think of the match? Who leaves with the title? Let us know in the comments below.
