Fight Night: New Grudge Match Officially Set For WWE Survivor Series

It’s a personal thing. We are about a week away from Survivor Series and the top of the card is already set. With a pair of WarGames matches, there are several members of the roster locked into place. That does not leave many spots left for other wrestlers but there are other personal issues which can fill out the show. Now we have one of them officially set.

Last week on SmackDown, Santos Escobar turned on the LWO by attacking Rey Mysterio. This week, Escobar explained that he was upset over Mysterio turning on him to side with someone like Carlito. This led to Carlito coming in to chase Escobar off without anything getting physical. Later in the show, it was announced that the two of them would face off in a grudge match at Survivor Series.

It should be a big deal. Check out how we got here:

Opinion: That is the kind of match that needs to be on the show as it makes perfect sense. Escobar has turned on his former friends and now one of them wants revenge. That is how things should be going, especially if Escobar wins to set up an eventual showdown with a returning Mysterio. For now though, we should be in for a nice match and that is something the show can use.
