Farewell? Update On Backstage Reaction To Kevin Dunn's WWE Departure

They’re happier. There have been all kinds of changes in WWE in recent months, with the biggest being the company being taken over by new owners. As a result, several of the bigger names behind the scenes of the company have changed as well. Now we are finding out how those changes have affected everyone else, and it turns out that it has been something of a positive.

Last weekend, Kevin Dunn, the long time head of production for WWE, departed the company after thirty years. According to the Figure Four Daily podcast, “a lot” of people in WWE are glad that Dunn is gone in a similar reaction to the departure of Vince McMahon. It is said to be a better environment backstage, with one example being Triple H never “blowing up” like McMahon. As for Dunn’s replacement, Alvarez mentioned someone named Marty Miller, but did not know anything about him.

Opinion: I can’t say I’m overly surprised by this as Dunn has not had the best reputation in WWE for a very long time now. He is one of the people who has been around for a long time now and if things are already better with him gone, it doesn’t say much about his popularity backstage. What matters is WWE continues to move forward with a lot of changes and this could make things all the more interesting.
