Farewell? AEW Star Says “Thank You”, “Bye” In Cryptic Post

That’s a tease. The AEW roster has grown quite a bit during the company’s three and a half year history. There have been several names to come and go from the locker room and it can mean a lot for a wrestler to get a spot in the company. While there have been several successes, there have been some who can’t seem to get out of the blocks. Now another one of the latter is teasing something.

AEW’s Andrade El Idolo has posted an image of himself holding his mask with the caption “I just want to say thank you!!! Bye” in both English and Spanish. El Idolo does not go into further details of what he is saying “bye” to. He is currently suspended from AEW after a backstage altercation with Sammy Guevara and has not wrestled a match for the company since September 4. There has been nothing to indicate that El Idolo is leaving AEW.

Opinion: This is one of those vague statements that could refer to anything. Heck he could be talking about the mask he is looking at in the photo. El Idolo has been missing for a few months now and that is a shame as he was starting to get into a groove in AEW. It would be nice to have him back, assuming all of the behind the scenes issues can be dropped, or at least heavily toned down.
