So much for that. Wrestlers come into promotions all the time, but there are times when some of them have to leave as well. That can be the case for a variety of reasons, including some times where a wrestler just isn’t the right fit. As a result, you will occasionally see someone leaving quietly, which seems to be the case again as an AEW wrestler has left the company without much fanfare.

According to PWInsider.com, Trench left AEW at the beginning of July as his deal with the company expired. Trench served as one of Swerve Strickland’s enforcers, along with Parker Boudreaux, in the Mogul Affiliates. Trench has been off AEW television since March when he was reportedly sidelined with an injury. He never actually wrestled a match for the company and was not given a name for several weeks.
He wasn’t around long. Check out Trench’s time in AEW:
Opinion: I can’t say I’m surprised at this one, as Trench never felt overly important in AEW. When you don’t even have a name for weeks, it doesn’t seem like a promotion has put much thought into what you’re doing. The Embassy its better as bodyguards/enforcers for Strickland anyway, so at least things are being upgraded. Trench never got to show what he could do, which doesn’t work well when you’re on a roster that is already loaded.
