Hold on a second. Things can change in a hurry in wrestling but I don’t think anyone could ever have imagined how many changes would take place in wrestling over the last three months. The wrestling world has gone from running at normal to barely being recognizable and that is a very interesting switch. As it turns out, things might not be changing anytime soon, at least on the big stage.

The most obvious difference over the last few months has of course been the lack of crowds at wrestling events. With no fans in the arenas, wrestling shows are missing the energy that the people bring with them. WWE and AEW have done their best to make these things better, but there is only so much that can be done without regular fans. That might be the case for a good while to come.

According to Wrestling Observer Live, both WWE and AEW may be a long way off from bringing back live fans to events, despite being allowed to do so. There has been no word from either promotion on bringing fans back into arenas, though there is always a chance that they are saving it for a surprise. New Japan Pro Wrestling announced that they will be bringing fans back in July, meaning they may be the first major promotion to return with a crowd.

Crowds can be a big help. Check out some of the biggest reactions you’ll ever see:

Opinion: I can’t say I’m surprised by this one as while there is a reason to bring the fans back, it makes a lot more sense to wait until everything is as ready as possible. This isn’t something where you need to take any unnecessary risk and both companies seem to know that. Just wait until things are a bit better and let the long term solution work better than the short term.

When do you expect fans back? Should the companies keep waiting? Let us know in the comments below.
