It’s a family thing. The Bloodline has been one of the most important stories in WWE over the last several years and that continues to this day, despite the team undergoing quite the lineup change. The new version of the Bloodline has found success of its own, including winning some gold in the last few weeks. Now though, something about that gold is going to be slightly adjusted.

Last month, the Bloodline, comprised of Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga, won the WWE Tag Team Titles. However, Fatu seemed to suffer an injury during his appearance at Summerslam, which has kept him away from WWE TV. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Bloodline leader Solo Sikoa will be allowed to choose the members of the team who defend the titles in something of a Freebird Rule. In addition, Fatu will be kept away from Roman Reigns going forward in a way to keep Fatu strong. There is no word on when Fatu will be returning to WWE TV.

The team has options. Check out the new Bloodline in action:

Opinion: I’ll certainly take this over stripping the Bloodline of the titles, as that wouldn’t help anyone in the slightest. The point of the Bloodline is to keep them strong and that is not going to go as well if they have to drop the titles so soon. Giving them a special rule like this one makes sense and fits well as Sikoa continues to show off the power and authority that he wields.

What do you think of the idea? Which pair should defend the titles? Let us know in the comments below.
