Welcome to the family. With so many talented wrestlers in the world today, it can be hard for a lot of them to ever be able to get their big break. You do see it happen though and those moments can make for some of the best things in wrestling. Sometimes you see someone break through right before your eyes and that seems to be the case again with a very talented wrestler.
AEW President Tony Khan has announced that Daniel Garcia has officially been signed to a contract with the company. Garcia has been wrestling with the company for several months now, including teaming with 2Point0, and has wrestled against Sting, Jon Moxley and CM Punk. Garcia has commented on the signing, saying that he wanted to wrestle for a company where he could make a difference and saying that he planned to be a part of AEW for a long time to come.
This year @GarciaWrestling came into @AEW with a great reputation built through his hard work on the indies, & he’s continued to work hard here in #AEW + he’s shown no fear, never backing down from anyone, even the best in the world. Thank you & welcome to the team Daniel Garcia! pic.twitter.com/PSAPkkIxf5

I told myself that I didn’t want to sign somewhere just to say I got a contract. I wanted to go somewhere that would help me become the best wrestler in the world. I know AEW is where I can become that.
I plan on being a major player in this company for a very long time. https://t.co/3yTQPwIRf2

Garcia has been rather good so far. Check out some of his time in AEW:
Opinion: I don’t think this is exactly a surprise and that is not necessarily a bad thing. AEW is not likely to put someone in the ring with its biggest stars and let him look good without having a plan for him and the contract would make that clear. Garcia is someone who has made an impact since his debut and it is nice to see him getting a chance like this, as it is certainly deserved.
What do you think of Garcia? How far can he go in AEW? Let us know in the comments below.
