This week on Monday Night Raw, Cody Rhodes interrupted Damian Priest to start the show. After an exchange of insults, Priest challenged Rhodes to a match at Crown Jewel, with Rhodes accepting. A brawl ensued, with Judgment Day injuring Rhodes’ ankle in the process. The match was made official later in the night. This comes after Rhodes, with Jey Uso and Priest, with Finn Balor, have traded the WWE Tag Team Titles in recent weeks. Crown Jewel takes place on November 4.

Opinion: This is the kind of match that needs to be on the card as it is a part of a much bigger story. Rather than having it be some big conclusion as a title match, Rhodes and Priest have spun off from their Tag Team Title feud as Rhodes and company continue to fight the Judgment Day. It makes for some interesting options and that is always a good thing to have on a show.
