That clears up a few things. Sometimes, wrestling companies make decisions that don’t seem to make a lot of sense. Maybe it’s a storyline decision, maybe it’s someone taking a win or a loss, or maybe it’s someone being added into a spot that doesn’t seem to fit them. The latter of those options took place last week on Monday Night Raw but now we might have an idea of what is going on.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dana Brooke was placed into the Women’s Money In The Bank ladder match as a replacement for Sasha Banks. At the moment, Banks is currently on leave from WWE and there is no word on when she will be back. WWE had originally wanted Banks to be in the ladder match as her return to the company but that is not going to be the case.

The decision did let Brooke get in on this. Check out the match’s participants ranting at each other:

Opinion: Was this really their best option? They couldn’t have just cut the match down to seven participants instead? Brooke is about as low as you can get on the roster at this point with almost no significant wins in her career and very few quality matches. She’s there to fill in a spot, but in this case it might have been a better option to just leave the spot vacant as Brooke won’t be seen as a viable contender.

Do you like Brooke getting the spot? Will Banks ever be back in the company? Let us know in the comments below.
