It didn’t work so well. Wrestlers have a very difficult job to do as they have quite a few things to do every time they go to the ring. At the same time, they are doing these things in front of a live audience with no replays. Sometimes a mistake will take place and unfortunately some of them can be seen rather clearly. Now we know what likely caused a recent one.

This week on SmackDown, Shotzi won a Six Pack Challenge to become the new #1 contender to the SmackDown Women’s Title. During the match, Liv Morgan dove at Raquel Rodriguez in an attempt to drive her through a table, but the dive was left short and the table was barely grazed. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, this was the result of miscommunication, as the original spot called for the table to be in a different place. Morgan apparently was not told about the change, resulting in her leaving the dive short by mistake. There is nothing to suggest that there is heat on Morgan as a result.

Opinion: I’m not sure what the plan was supposed to be here but it is safe to say that it didn’t work out so well. At the end of the day, it made everyone look bad as it was obvious something was off. That being said, I have no idea why you would need to make a last minute change like this one. Just go with what works, of maybe not even use the table at all, as Morgan diving onto Rodriguez sans table would have worked just fine.
