Play them off. Music plays a huge role in wrestling and that will always be the case. The right theme song can change the way a wrestler is received as well as giving them the right presence. WWE has had a great catalog of music for decades now, with some of the most iconic wrestling theme songs ever. Things might be changing though and for reasons that have nothing to do with WWE.

There have been two major names in charge of music over the last thirty five years. The most famous name is likely Jim Johnston, who produced several of the most well known theme songs in WWE history. When Johnston left, a group called CFO$ took over and offered a new style to the WWE music library. However, things have changed again and now we know why.

According to Fightful.com, CFO$ left WWE due to a disagreement with their publisher. WWE had split with CFO$ and then tried to bring them back as the in-house music composers. CFO$ was interested but the publisher stopped the deal as the original split included a buyout from WWE, meaning CFO$ lost money. WWE has been using various songs written before CFO$ left and is looking for their replacements.

There are some awesome music moments from WWE in recent years. Check out some of CFO$’s work:

Opinion: I’m not sure what this is going to mean but it’s not a good sign to see someone who has had some success in this area leaving so abruptly. Hopefully the company can find someone just as good as CFO$ put together some very good music for the company. If you don’t have the right combination, the whole situation might not work out so well. Maybe things can be worked out, but it doesn’t seem to be the case at the moment.
