Everyone In: New Match Set For WWE Summerslam, Several Wrestlers Involved

Put it on the card. We are about a week away from WWE’s annual Summerslam event and that means most of the show is already put together. WWE has put together a series of matches that cover most of the roster but there are still some names who need to be added. Now though, several of those names will be covered with just one new match being added to the show.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Cut If Off: SmackDown Match Stopped Due To Injury, Title Match Implications

This week on SmackDown, WWE announced that a battle royal has been added to the Summerslam card. The match will include wrestlers from both Monday Night Raw and SmackDown. The only two entrants currently announced for the match are LA Knight and Sheamus. There is no word on how many entrants there will be or any mention of a prize for the winner.

Opinion: This is the kind of match that can help cover a lot of wrestlers who might not be able to make the show otherwise. If nothing else, Knight did not seem to have another path onto the show and that would be a strange omission given his current popularity. For now though, it’s interesting to see something like this added and now we could be in for a nice boost to the show.
